The Crown at Codsall closed on March 3 for the work to get under way but will be reopening in July under the management of Medicine Bakery, which is an artisan bakery, cafe and gallery with venues in Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

Market Drayton based Joule's Brewery acquired the pub in 2015 and is now carrying out an extensive refurbishment.

The official handover to Medicine Bakery will take place next week, but a 'soft launch' to the public is expected to take place in the week commencing July 17.

Simon Jones, who owns Medicine Bakery, said: "We have eyed The Crown for many years and are excited to bring something new and exciting to Codsall.
