Gavin Williamson toasts return of indoor hospitality industry by visiting South Staffordshire pub
Cheers! Gavin Williamson has toasted the return of the indoor hospitality by pouring a pint at a pub in South Staffordshire.
The South Staffordshire MP discussed reopening plans with the manager of The Bull in Codsall during his visit to the pub.
The pub can safely accommodate more than 60 customers indoors and the seating arrangements had been approved by environmental officers.
Mr Williamson, who spoke with manager Wendy Hollyhead during his visit, said: "I am keenly aware of just how important pubs are. Not only are they vital to local economies, but they also provide a hub for people to socialise with friends and family.
"In a year in which we have sacrificed so much in the fight against coronavirus, it is pleasing that we are beginning to return to normality.
"Thanks to the success of the vaccine rollout and the resilience of the British people, we are now able to get back to the things that make life worth living. However, I must stress that the pandemic is not over, so please do continue to follow rules and guidance such as wearing face coverings, social distancing, and good hand hygiene."
