Construction firm offering apprenticeships to help next generation of budding builders

As things begin to feel more normal, the huge growth in the construction industry is fuelling demand for skilled workers, creating jobs and pushing up wages.

As part of its ongoing investment, training group BCTG is offering fully funded construction courses to young people and adults from its Skills Centre in Kelvin Way, West Bromwich.

Programmes include traineeship and apprenticeships courses as well as adult upskilling classes covering topics like Bricklaying, painting & decorating, plastering, carpentry, flooring and cladding. Training takes place at the centre and also at employers’ sites.

Courses accommodate those who are new to the industry, as well as established workers wanting to upskill and gain essential industry licences like CSCS Cards.

And for those looking for a change of direction, fully funded adult reskilling courses mean, that in a few weeks, someone can gain the core skills to set them off on a new, well paid career.

Individuals’ can gain a Level 2 Diploma, and then move onto an Advanced Level 3 qualification. A wise commitment as higher skills means higher earnings.
