Beauty salon owner in the running for national award
A salon owner has spoken of her pride at being nominated for an award in a national hair and beauty competition.
Stacey Wainwright, aged 33 from Wolverhampton, has been nominated in the Best of Brows category as part of the UK Hair and Beauty Awards.
She works at her store, called Creative Beauty Boutique, on Blackhalve Lane, in Wolverhampton, where she employs three other staff members.
She said: "This is the first time I have had any involvement in any type of awards. I have never been in one like this before.
"It is really exciting news. We will see what happens. I haven't got my hopes up too high as there are some really talented finalists too.
"I am up against great artists."
The winner will be chosen on March 31. The judges have been narrowing down the finalists ahead of crowing the best nominee.
Stacey specialises in brows at her shop, which has been running on Blackhalve Lane for two years, including offering waxes and tints to clients.
In total her business has been running for six years.
