The independent brewery, based in Rufford Road, Stourbridge, has been forced to shut its bar because of virus restrictions but teamed up with Coventry’s Twisted Barrel Brewery and Tap House to raise £25,000.

The two breweries are now sharing the machine and they also plan to rent it out to other local brewers too.

Green Duck director Alex Hill said 10,000 cans of its beers had already been produced and were selling via its website and local off-licences.

A new six per cent beer called Maple Mild is proving the best seller along with another addition – Forged, a 4.5 per cent strength best bitter.

“Forged is based on a recipe of my late grandfather, Bill Dingley, who was an avid home brewer in the 1970s,” said Mr Hill.

He said overall sales this year had been massively down, but the growing interest in canned craft beer was helping.
