Festive beer will bring good cheer
A brewery has launched a range of Christmas gifts to boost sales in the festive season.
Backyard Brewhouse is offering £5 beer crackers, containing bottles of its real ale, along with gift packs including 12 Beers of Christmas which are for pre-order only and have already almost sold out.
There is also a limited edition three-pack of beers including its Christmas ales – Bad Santa and Sanity Claus for £12.
Backyard, based at The Gatehouse, Lichfield Road, Brownhills, has also distilled a 40 per cent gin called Winter Spice which is being sold in a 50cl bottle with two of the Christmas beers for £35.
Director Austen Morgan said online sales had been crucial for the company during lockdown.
“It had to become something for us very quickly and we started online sales in April,” he said. “Without online we would have been scuppered. It proved a real lifeline for us in the first lockdown.”
