Final stages of construction at designer outlet
The final stages of construction at the £160 million new designer outlet are being carried out.
A huge sign was put up this week at the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands, which is earmarked for opening early next year after it was delayed due to coronavirus.
About 1,000 retail jobs are expected to be created when the site opens.
Mike Thomas, centre manager for McArthurGlen’s West Midlands Designer Outlet, said: “Construction work continues to progress well for our new designer outlet in Cannock and we're really looking forward to opening to customers early next year.
"We'll have more news on an opening date later in the autumn, as well as some of the exciting international brands that are joining us, but for now we're focusing on delivering the final stages of works, including internal store fit-outs and services."
He added: "With regards to Covid-19, all McArthurGlen centres are operating with the highest standards of health and safety in place, and future visitors to West Midlands Designer Outlet can expect exactly the same standards here."
