Stiltz Homelifts thriving with UK-wide recruitment and new HQ
Leading homelift provider Stiltz is thriving despite the global pandemic, with a nationwide recruitment programme underway and a recent move to new purpose-built headquarters in Kingswinford.
Stiltz Homelifts recruitment programme consists of a number of field and head office roles, including lift engineers, carpenters, builders and an IT apprentice through a partnership with Dudley College.
This month also saw the company move to a brand new 36,000 sq ft building around the corner from its current head office. The worldwide Stiltz headquarters at Prime Point on the Pensnett Estate incorporates extensive warehousing, customer service and technical teams, a global research and development centre of excellence, a state-of-the-art training hub and a customer showroom to demonstrate their range of innovative through-floor homelifts.
Stiltz Homelifts continued to trade through the pandemic following guidance of the British Healthcare Trades Association. The company maintained levels of urgent care to existing customers whilst also providing fast track installations of new homelifts to those considered most vulnerable. With huge pressures on the NHS due to Covid-19, homelifts were able to contribute to reduction of in-home accident frequency, in turn reducing hospital admissions and pressure on valuable NHS resource.
Lachlan Faulkner, founder and chief commercial officer, said: “Despite the damaging effects of Covid-19 on the global economy, our business is currently thriving. We adapted quickly to the new environment utilising technology which enabled us to assist both existing and new customers, continue with our extensive R&D programme and expand our team. The fact that we are recruiting is testament to the strategic planning and positive attitude of the whole Stiltz team. We are powering through and we are proud to be achieving positive sales figures whilst creating a number of new roles throughout the UK.”
Stiltz offer potential customers and healthcare professionals live 4K video product demonstrations. The video conferencing technology is able to to provide a user-friendly, seamless service to homeowners, dealers and healthcare professionals wishing the see how a lift looks and operates. The homelifts are demonstrated by a product specialist in a remote studio with a variable hight floor, so the action of a homelift can be simulated.
The recruitment programme and new headquarters is a continuation of the company’s recent success. As it approaches the 10th anniversary of trading, Stiltz Homelifts received the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade in April and last year the Lloyds Bank Exporter of the Year Award and the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 ranking as one of Britain’s top 100 fastest-growing private companies.
