Stafford's Guildhall Shopping Centre will be welcoming the new businesses in the second half of the year.

Elements Fitness and Wellbeing is currently fitting out in a 20,000 sq ft unit in the Market Square centre, previously occupied by i-Motion Gym and will be open later this summer.

The centre will also welcome another health and wellbeing retailer this summer, as well as N’s Hairdressers, which is currently on site fitting out, with a July opening in sight.

And work has now started on the food hall, which will be located on the ground floor opposite the new health and wellbeing club.

This new addition to the centre will cover 12,000 sq ft and provide visitors with a seating area, coffee shop and pop up food retailers, including space for a grocer /delicatessen.

The centre is managed by property company, Edinburgh House Estates, whose asset manager, Philip Murphy, said: “Despite the current challenges within the retail sector, we are looking forward to welcoming a number of new retailers to Guildhall over the coming months.

“We’ve been working really hard to ensure that we bring the right retailers to the centre and bring more jobs into town, building on our strong loyal catchment.

"We are also looking to work with local traders, using the rates free period to allow new tenants to take units at the centre at realistic global rents.’’

The Staffordshire-based charity, Greyhound Golden Oldies and Friends will be opening a shop at the centre this summer too.

George Demetriou, centre manager at Guildhall Shopping Centre, added: "We are delighted to see new stores opening at the centre and the new food hall taking shape. It’s going to be an exciting time for the centre and for the local community."

If local businesses are interested in being part of the Guildhall, they should contact Philip Murphy at Edinburgh House Estate via email at philip.murphy@ehel.co.uk to discuss availability.
