Boots closing Halesowen and Wednesfield branches
Two Boots stores in the Black Country are set to close their doors.
The company has confirmed that they will close the Peckingham Street branch in Halesowen in August.
While their store on Wednesfield High Street will also be closing later this year.
Boots say colleagues at both stores have been informed and will be offered positions in other local stores.
A spokesman for Boots said: "At Boots UK, we continually review our store locations to make sure they are where our customers need us most.
"It is never a decision we take lightly when looking to close a store.
"We can confirm that we are closing the Peckingham Street branch in Halesowen on Wednesday, August 1, however our other store in Blackheath will remain open and is around an eight-minute drive away.
"We have also taken the decision to close the store on Wednesfield High Street in Wolverhampton later this year. Our nearby store at Bentley Bridge Retail Park in Wolverhampton will remain open and will continue to offer pharmacy services to our customers."
The spokesman added: "All of our affected colleagues have been informed and will be offered jobs within local Boots stores.”
