Businesses learn how to grow with Google

Business owners and entrepreneurs learned how to grow their business online at an event in Wolverhampton.

Members of the business world gathered at the free advice session held at Casino 36, Temple Street, to learn how to get their company noticed on Google and reach their customers online.

The session focused on how to attract and convert customers with Paid Search (PPC) advertising as well as helping people make the most of their budget.

Matthew Fowell, head of Paid Search at MNA Digital, shared his best practices on growing businesses online with Google advertising.

He said: “These events are a great opportunity to teach local businesses about paid search, although a complicated topic, we try to break it down and offer some real-world tips they can use to improve their performance online."

At the event, run by MNA Digital, there was also networking opportunities, a hot breakfast buffet and digital experts were on hand to offer free one-to-one advice sessions providing tailored digital marketing advice.

Paul Weaver, owner of Northfield Print, said he attended in the hope to learn how to attract more customers.

He said: “I came along as I’d like an insight into the new world of digital marketing. It’s been really good so far.

“It’s been great to see how it all works.”

Melvin Shepherd, who owns Tax Assist Accountant in Stourbridge said he attended to get some needed tips on online marketing as well.

He added: “It’s always good to meet new people but the point of today is to learn more about digital marketing.

“It’s been really interesting.”

Attendees also learned website best practices to convert traffic into leads, heard case studies, and received tailored advice from digital experts.
