Record US sales for Jaguar Land Rover
Jaguar Land Rover is celebrating record sales in the United States for December and for the whole of 2018
The luxury car group, which makes its engines at the i54 at its plant alongside the M54 in the West Midlands, had its best ever December sales month.
Sales were up 24 per cent on a year before at 14,079 vehicles.
For the full year JLR US sales reached 122,626 – up seven per cent from the previous record of 114,333 units in 2017.
Land Rover brand had another record year of sales with 92,143 cars sold, which was up 23 percent.
There were record breaking sales years for both Range Rover Sport at 24,282 and Range Rover at 19,030.
It was the best ever December sales month for the Land Rover brand with an increase of 33 per cent on the year to 0,617 cars sold including record numbers of both Range Rover and Range Rover Evoque
Jaguar sales were 3,462, a slight increase from 3,414 units in December 2017.

In 2017-2018 JLR sold 614,309 cars in 129 countries, with more than 80 per cent of vehicles being sold abroad.
