Stafford Co-op has £470k makeover

A Co-op has reopened its doors in Stafford after a £470,000 makeover which has created two new business units.

Central England Co-operative's Silkmore Lane store now has improved and extended chilled sections for food, snacks and beers, wines and spirits, new decoration, signage and LED lighting and improved tills. And the product range has been updated throughout the store.

Store manager Gemma Highton said: “Our team has been so excited. The revamp looks fantastic and already customers have been making many positive comments about how it looks.

“I would like to thank our members and customers for their patience during the refurbishment and I hope they enjoy the changes as much as we do.

“All of us here at Silkmore Lane Food Store are proud to be part of such a great community in Stafford and are looking forward to welcoming customers, new and old, to come and enjoy our food store.”

The Silkmore Lane Food Store is open 7am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

The store has a range of products from fresh and local fruit and vegetables, an in-store bakery, chilled beers and wines, fresh and frozen produce and Irresistible product ranges. The store offers Paypoint, Lottery, free cash machine, a defibrillator and parking and has a Post Office Local which is open during store hours.
