Iceland and B&M coming to Merry Hill after deal struck

Iceland and B&M are set to open at intu Merry Hill after new letting deals were agreed.

intu Properties, represented by real estate adviser Savills, has let two retail warehouse units totalling 40,000 sq ft.

Discount chain B&M has ageed a new 15-year lease for a 31,000 sq ft store, while Iceland will take 8,392 sq ft store on a 10-year lease.

The units are on the retail park that forms part of the Brierley Hill shops complex where other shops include Matalan, Hobbycraft, Currys PC World, DFS, Home Bargains and Pets at Home.

Charlie Greenhalgh, out-of-town retail director at Savills, said: "We are delighted to have secured two national brands for intu Merry Hill, further enhancing the retail park’s already strong line-up. The steady flow of lettings is testament to the ongoing success of the scheme."
