Avanti, which enjoyed a record year of sales in 2017, has taken over a 3,000 sq ft premises at Oldswinford Cross and is looking to bring the latest in styles and space saving technology to consumers in the area.

This includes inspirational room set designs, featuring on-trend colours, minimalist styling, the latest handleless technology, feature islands and funky shades such as ‘spearmint green’ and ‘copse green’.

There is also a media area with an interactive TV that displays 3D room designs and product videos for customers looking to visualise their dream kitchens and bedrooms in store.

“We have been looking at creating an additional Avanti presence in this area for some time and wasted no time in taking the site when it became available in November,” explained managing director Lee Capewell.

“The last six months have been spent creating a flagship showroom that marks a new way of displaying the products we sell. For the first time ever we have gone for large room sets rather than lots of smaller displays to provide a real-life ambience.”

He continued: “When people visit we want them to enjoy an experience and make it as exciting and pleasurable as possible, with the added bonus of lots of car parking at the rear. We’ve even got an operational kitchen so that we can regularly hold cooking demonstrations.”

Avanti employs more than 100 people at its manufacturing facility in Lye and at nine showrooms across the Black Country and Birmingham.

A Grand Opening weekend will be held at Oldswinford on May 12-13, featuring wine tasting with an expert, a cold buffet on both days and the chance to win a fitted bedroom (up to the value of £2000) and a free-standing wine cooler worth up to £500.

Visitors will be able to view one of the most striking kitchen displays ever assembled by the company, including in-frame painted door styling.

There will also be a demonstration of ‘Avanti dynamic space’ that showcases the very latest in logical storage designed to make the transition from your car to the fridge, larder or laundry as easy as possible.

Lee concluded: “2017 was our best ever year and we are hoping to build on this with the launch of the Oldswinford showroom, opening up additional markets for us.

“There are also plans in place to acquire a prime site in Worcestershire, as we look to bring the Avanti name and reputation for excellent customer service to even more areas.”
