Founded in 1972, Warley Carriers, based in West Bromwich, will manage the Walsall (WS) and Birmingham B66 postcodes for the Wolverhampton-based pallet network.

The addition of Warley Carriers in March brings Pallet-Track’s shareholder members to 83 companies covering the whole of the UK and Ireland.

Chris Kibble, a director at Warley Carriers, said: “There are a number of advantages of joining the Pallet-Track network, not least that we are very close to one another geographically.

“We are also covering very attractive postcodes, and the way it has been done allows for a more efficient and cost-effective solution for customers in the broader area.

“Pallet-Track is a very attractive and well-respected company which is at the top of the pallet network as far as we are concerned. Pallet-Track also worked hard to bring us on board and we also have the luxury of being able to access their centralised functions – it is a win-win for both businesses.”

Nigel Parkes, founder and managing director of Pallet-Track, said: “We have been very aware of Warley for some time because it has a strong reputation in the UK and Ireland and because it is only down the road from us here in Wolverhampton.

“There are a lot of synergies for the businesses in terms of footprint and operational styles, both of which complement each other. There is a synchronicity and mutual respect between the companies and I look forward to working closely with the management at Warley Carriers as they become fully-fledged members of the Pallet-Track family.”
