Ground broken at major new motorhome dealership in Stafford
Ground has been broken at the site of a new purpose built showroom for a luxury motorhome dealership.
Currently based in Telford, from September, Travelworld Motorhomes will be moving to Creswell Park, just off the M6 at J14 near Stafford.
Travelworld was founded in 1977 by Bob Edwards, with just three staff operating from a small premises in Wolverhampton. Today it is one of the largest motorhome dealerships in the UK and still a family business, with Bob's son Ross now managing director, sister Annabel, the company's customer care manager, and grandson Jake, a member of the sales team.
As well as a large customer car park, the new site will provide a dedicated vehicle collection/ handover area. Plus, in advance of the showroom move, in another exciting development Travelworld is launching a new high-end motorhome rental service offering RentEasy, the Europe-wide Erwin Hymer Group rental service. This will give customers a choice of 10 Carado, Hymer and HymerCar models to rent, including top-of-the-range Hymer A-class models the ML-I 540 and Exsis I.
Ross Edwards said: “Our current showroom has served us well for a number of years, but as the business has grown we wanted a more central location, with more space and easier access for larger motorhomes. The Creswell Park site fits the bill perfectly and will allow us to give customers the best possible service.”
The company is running an open week until Sunday at its Halesfield premises, from 9am to 6pm each day.
