Two more sponsors for Black Country Business Festival

The University of Wolverhampton and legal firm, Talbots Law are backing the new two-week annual Business Festival next spring, driven by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce.

The Business Festival – running from April 23 to April 4 – will see over 100 different business events of all shapes and sizes taking place across the Black Country showcasing the region’s strength in innovation, commerce and culture.

Any business of any size can apply to run an event and these can take any form, from seminars, workshops or debates through to exhibitions, trade shows or major conferences. It is anticipated that more than 7,500 people will attend over the fortnight, with around 18 per cent of those coming from outside of the area.

Corin Crane, chief executive of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce said, “We are delighted that The University of Wolverhampton and vastly expanding Talbots Law are part of the growing support received for the Festival.

"This is excellent news for the Business Festival and really shows that the Black Country is ready for something new and innovative through which we can all show the rest of the country what a great place this is to live, work and do business in.

“Everyone needs to get involved for the collective benefit of the Black Country; whether this is by sponsoring, promoting, organising events or even offering venue space to businesses to hold their events.

"The Business Festival website is live and contains lots of really useful information, so everyone should take a look and see what they can do to play their part in making this the biggest and most exciting business event in this region a resounding success.”

Any Black Country organisation can apply to host an event and applications are still being taken through the website www.blackcountrybusinessfestival.com. Where possible, events should be free of charge to attend and they must be held within the Black Country region.

There are a number of partners offering venue space on a complimentary basis or at a heavily discounted rate for Business Festival events, including both the university and Talbots Law. These are listed on the official website.
