Staffordshire businesses placed in the spotlight at glittering awards ceremony

A Penkridge recruitment firm specialising in the construction industry has been hailed as the best business in Staffordshire.

PSR Solutions walked away with the Business of the Year award at the Staffordshire Business Awards.

More than 420 guests gathered to honour the county’s greatest business success stories at the Staffordshire County Showground, in a black-tie event hosted by Signal 1 Breakfast Show presenters, Foxy and Jennie.

An array of businesses were crowned with awards spanning over 14 categories, including PSR Solutions who walked away with the blue riband award for their all-round performance across a range of attributes. The company also won the Medium/ Large Business of the Year award.

Computer consutancy risual, based in Stafford, won the Digital Award, while the Environmental/ Low Carbon Award went to Stone Computers, based at Acton Gate in Stafford. Manufacturer of the Year was sheet metal manufacturer Alpha Manufacturing, based at Hixon in Stafford. Small Business of the Year was the Wool Packaging Company in Stone

The evening was a celebration of the valuable contributions made by individuals as well as businesses.

Sara Williams, chief executive at Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “The evening was a fantastic celebration of business success across Staffordshire. The list of finalists showcased the innovation, ingenuity, creativity and drive of our business community; something which we must continue to support throughout the county.

“The evening was a true celebration of all things Staffordshire using ceramics manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent and food and drinks sourced from Staffordshire farms and suppliers.

Employee of the Year: Marie Bloor, Ruff & Ruby Youth Charity

Young Employee or Apprentice of the Year : Chloe Quaile, KMF Group and Louise Meredith, JCB
