The company, which has an 18-strong workforce, said it hoped some new jobs would be created.

It is moving within West Bromwich, from Jervoise Street to Masterfit House, Colliery Road, a 33,005 sq ft industrial unit.

Established in 1988, Midland Group has grown into one of the country’s leading suppliers to the materials handling industry, a provider of re-engineered electric motors and holding the UK's largest range of forklift starter motors and alternators, some 3,000, on the shelf ready for guaranteed next day delivery.

Its expertise extends to AC-DC motors, hydraulic pumps, gearboxes, axles and carbon brushes.

Director Gary Millington said: “We have simply run out of room where we are as a result of steady growth.

“We needed a bigger warehouse to allow the business to develop further.

“Being located in the heart of the UK here in the West Midlands makes us ideally situated in terms of location to provide the whole of the country with quality forklift components.

“Our remanufacturing facility houses specialist workshops and trained engineers that can rebuild obsolete units or those that may be deemed as too expensive from brand new sources.”

Midland Group hopes to be up and running at the new site by the summer. It has taken a ten year lease.

James Mattin, Bond Wolfe managing director, said: “It is great to see a local company on the up.

“One of our specialties is industrial property and we are primed to respond to needs like Midland Group.”

Bond Wolfe was acting for landlord Riaar Plastics.
