Raleigh Coatings has taken on six workers in the last year and is now set to recruit more following the addition of a third production line.

General manager Peter Turton said the number taken on would be dependent on how sales grew. Raleigh, based at Raleigh Hall Industrial Estate in Eccleshall, Stafford, now employs 35 and is one of the UK's leading specialists in solvent and aqueous-based adhesives and coatings.

The company, which was founded in 1989, has seen sustained growth in dem-and, particularly in the medical and specialist markets.

Later this year it will complete its latest round of investment at its 35,000 sq ft manufacturing and warehousing premises when it unveils the new complete silicon-gel, clean-room coating production line, which will more than double its production capacity.

Raleigh's business development manager Julian Watkins said: "We have successfully retained customers and sust- ained production levels to see a record year for output in the UK and overseas."
