The contract will be carried out by Lichfield-based Palletways Fulfilment, the warehousing solutions operation of Palletways Group, Europe's largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network.

Palletways Fulfilment will store Israel-based Albaad's UK stock and transport it to their UK customers.

Albaad UK will be able to take advantage of the company's 100,000 sqft facility to store, re-package and process orders.

All warehouse activity can be tracked through a web-based stock management system, and freight is distributed nationally to their customers and wholesalers via Palletways' nationwide pallet delivery network.

Garry Curtis, general manager at Palletways Fulfilment, said: "We are delighted to be working with Albaad and to be providing them the robust and reliable full logistics service that they need in the UK.

"Our ability to adhere to strict timescales is essential for Albaad UK when delivering to their major retailers.

"As we reach our first anniversary, it is fantastic to be working with an international company like Albaad and continuing to grow our impressive customer base."

Andy Davies, sales director at Albaad UK, said: "We were impressed by the services offered by Palletways Fulfilment and despite us being two separate companies our customers can be assured of a seamless service which is very important.

"Also, because Palletways has so many members nationally, it enables us to react quickly to customer demand and provide our goods as soon as they are needed."

The Palletways network is made up of more than 100 member companies, which are all independent transport firms with local knowledge and expertise to provide a range of express distribution services including next day, economy and timed delivery options.

By sharing resources, all the members deliver small consignments of palletised goods to market faster and more cost effectively than traditional haulage methods.

Palletways was founded in the UK in 1994 to provide an express delivery solution for small consignments of palletised freight and today offers 300 depots and 10 hubs and provides collection and distribution services across 11 European countries.
