Call for businesses to enter Chamber of Commerce Awards
The chairman of Cheslyn Hay-based PP Business Improvement, David Fox, is calling on fellow business leaders to celebrate the manufacturing successes of the region by entering the 2012 Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
The chairman of Cheslyn Hay-based PP Business Improvement, David Fox, is calling on fellow business leaders to celebrate the manufacturing successes of the region by entering the 2012 Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards.
The awards will take place on November 29 at Wolverhampton Racecourse and are part of the chamber's Business is Good for the Black Country campaign which promotes the outstanding role that businesses play in the prosperity of the region.
Mr Fox, who is sponsoring the manufacturer of the year award, said, "I really hope to see some good entries this year, our region is home to so many world class manufacturers and these awards are a great opportunity to celebrate what we have and showcase the very best.
"The winning business will need to demonstrate a clear commitment to innovation as well as manufacturing efficiency and business development. Financial management and sustainability will also be important deciding factors."
There are six award categories businesses can apply for:
Achievement in International Business sponsored by Wolverhampton Racecourse
Manufacturer of the Year Award sponsored by PP Business Improvement
Award for Excellence in Innovation sponsored by KEEN - University of Wolverhampton
Award for Commitment to People Development sponsored by Central Campus Sandwell College
Professional Services Firm of the Year award
Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Apprentice Employer of the Year Award
Final closing date for all awards is September 3.
Black Country Chamber award finalists will be announced at the Business is good for the Black Country exhibition on Thursday, September 20 at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
