Lidl has plans for two sites
Supermarket giant Lidl has unveiled plans to open two new stores in Telford.
The German company has announced it is looking to set up stores in Castle Street, Hadley, and Heath Hill Industrial Estate, Dawley.
It is due to hold two special events next week to allow traders and residents the opportunity to discuss any aspect of the proposed store developments and to sample products, before it submits formal planning applications.
The first is being held at Hadley Methodist Church School Room on Tuesday, from 5-7pm.
The other is being held on Wednesday, from 5-7pm, at the Great Dawley Parish Council office, Dawley House, Dawley.
A Lidl spokeswoman said the company was looking to build the new stores as part of its ongoing expansion programme throughout the UK.
The closest Lidl store is currently in Harlescott Lane, Shrewsbury.
