Banks's Brewery boss Ralph Findlay, head of University of Wolverhampton Professor Caroline Gipps and Wolverhampton Girls' headteacher Julie Lawton join the likes of Deal Or No Deal game show TV presenter Noel Edmonds and latest Doctor Who star David Tennant in the latest edition of the book which has been published today.

Entries in the world-famous reference book is by invitation only and people are asked to list their achievements and interests.

Father-of-two Mr Findlay, aged 45, chief executive of Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries, states he is a member of South Staffordshire Golf Club and Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club.

Prof Gipps, aged 58, says she has been vice chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton since 2005 and is married with two sons.

Professor Gipps joins her brother, Sir Peter Davis, chairman of Marie Curie Cancer Care, in Who's Who.

Another first-time entrant is Julie Lawton, aged 48, head of Wolverhampton Girls' High School.

She keeps her entry brief at nine lines and said today: "It's a great honour to be invited to be included. It certainly was a massive surprise."

Everyone in Who's Who compiles their own entry, so they can include or exclude whatever they want.

Mr Findlay takes 10 lines, while Professor Gipps needs 27 to list her achievements.

Noel Edmonds mentions the names of his two ex-wives in his entry and confirms his middle name begins with 'E' - but does not reveal what it is.

Who's Who contains 32,000 potted biographies of the richest, most talented and most famous people in the country.
