Woman on bike 'punched in the face' while at busy Birmingham junction - police appeal to identify man

A woman was punched in the face while riding a bike in Birmingham.

The victim was hurt after stopping on her bike on Bristol Street, at its junction with Belgrave Middleway, on the outskirts of the city centre.

It happened on November 25 last year between 4pm and 4.40pm.

A man approached the woman on foot and punched her to the right side of her face causing redness and swelling, West Midlands Police said.

The force has now issued a picture of a man it wants to speak to following the incident.

A police spokesperson said: "Despite extensive enquiries we haven’t been able to identify the man.
