Justice Michael Chambers KC told Wolverhampton Crown Court the case is taking longer than planned due to issues with the defendants giving evidence from the stand.
Byron Sellick, 20, Julian Falconer, 20, and Jake Sanbrook, aged 23, are charged is charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a shotgun.
Sellick was giving evidence again yesterday (Thursday), with the help of an intermediator which takes longer than normal back-and-forth between lawyer and witness.
