West Bromwich man faces string of charges following reported handbag robberies
A man has been charged with two counts of robbery and other offences after two incidents in the Oldbury area.

Martin Beckett from West Bromwich was charged with two counts of robbery, attempted robbery and causing grievous bodily harm without intent.
The 48-year-old was arrested following two incidents, with the first seeing a woman in her 80s robbed on Halesowen Street on March 23, with her handbag stolen and an injury suffered to her hip during the incident.
The second incident saw another handbag taken from an 18-year-old woman in the Asda car park near Wolverhampton Road.
Beckett was remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday. No details are yet available of his appearance.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man has been charged after two robberies in Oldbury in the last week.
"Martin Beckett, aged 48 from West Bromwich has been charged with two counts of robbery, attempted robbery and causing grievous bodily harm without intent.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.
"This comes after a woman in her 80s was robbed on Halesowen Street on March 23. Her handbag was stolen and she suffered an injury to her hip during the incident.
"On March 22, a handbag was also stolen from an 18-year-old girl on Asda car park off Wolverhampton Road.
