It comes as the supermarket giant announces plans to close 52 in-store cafes, 17 convenience stores, 18 market kitchens, 13 florists, 35 meat counters, 35 fish counters and four pharmacies, saying they are more costly to run than what they are making.

Residents and business owners on Queslett Road have spoken of the difficulties that the closure will bring - it's the place they pop over to to get their lunch, a pint of milk or their paper in the morning.

Another concern they had was of the Post Office that operates out of the Morrisons Daily store, which is relied on to send or return parcels, letters, and access banking services.

Mum Amy Wellerman says it's easy to pop over and get things for her family, and hopes another shop will replace it.

The 32-year-old said: "I feel really sad, it's come out of nowhere. I don't know where we're going to go, I've got two young children so to be able to come across and grab some milk or some biscuits for the kids is really convenient. I feel really sorry for the job losses that it's going to cause.
