Prison service confirms inmate died at Wolverhampton's HMP Brinsford just weeks ahead of release
An inmate died at Wolverhampton's HMP Brinsford last week, the Prison Service has confirmed.

Father-of-three McCauley Doran, aged 27, died on Wednesday, March 19, whilst serving the last few months of a sentence for kidnap and robbery.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “McCauley Doran died on March 19, 2025 at HMP Brinsford. As with all deaths in custody, the Prison and Probation Ombudsman will investigate.”
Due to the ongoing investigation, the prison service was unable to provide further details concerning the circumstances of Doran's death.

Doran, from Manchester, was sentenced to four years in 2021 at Manchester Crown Court after pleading guilty to kidnap and robbery.
