Neighbour of boy accused of murdering Jahziah Coke describes him as 'a lovely caring boy always acting as peacemaker'

The next-door neighbour of the teenager accused of murdering Oldbury schoolboy Jahziah Coke described him 'as a lovely lad'.

The woman was called as the final witness for the defence in the four-week trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court, where a teenager, who cannot be named due his age, is accused of murdering 13-year-old Jahziah.

A co-defendant, a man aged in his 40s, who also cannot be named, is charged with assisting an offender. A charge which he denies.

The woman, from Oldbury, said the defendant was "a real homebody who loved to stay in his bedroom playing his PlayStation".

She said: "I ended up looking at him as my family. I have got a lot of health problems and whenever I called someone for help. He was always there to help
