Black Country company Surface Technik has been ordered to pay £120,000 concerning the death of employee Maciej Rozanski in 2018.

Robert Hammond, Surface Technik's operations director hired "to drag the company kicking and screaming into the 21st century"' was fined £8,500 for his role in the tragic industrial accident.
Mr Rozanski's death at Surface Technik (Old Hill) Limited, Sovereign Works, Lower Gornal, on June 29, 2018, was finally dealt with the courts after several investigations, legal arguments and delays.
The Health and Safety Executive prosecuted the company and Hammond and they were sentenced at Wolverhampton Court today after a trial this week.
Hammond, 63, of Harland Road, Sutton Coldfield, admitted failing to discharge his duty as an employer relating to the death.
