The Wolverhampton 10K has become a popular part of the athletics diary for runners in and around Wolverhampton.

It will provide participants with the opportunity to run inside the iconic Molineux Stadium before heading out on a 10,000 metre course around the outskirts of Wolverhampton past a number of landmarks.

With the streets of Wolverhampton set to be lined by supporters roaring on the runners, here is a guide to what the run is, what charity it is supporting and what the course looks like.

When is the Wolverhampton 10K taking place and where is it starting?

The Wolverhampton 10K will start in and finish at the iconic Molineux Stadium

The event is taking place on Sunday, March 23, starting at 9am at Molineux Stadium and with an aim to be finished by 11am.

The remainder of the course will be on flat closed roads around Wolverhampton, with each mile accurately marked out with distance flags and with plenty of helpers along the course to keep people on track.
