On Saturday, May 11, at around 4pm, shots were fired at an address on Glendower Road. Thankfully, no one was injured but damage was caused to the front of the property.
CCTV footage showed a verbal altercation between two men before a round of ammunition was fired at the address by one of the men, narrowly missing the victim.
The bullet hit the front door leaving a bullet hole.
The gunman then fled on foot in the direction of Perry Avenue. By reviewing CCTV footage, cops tracked the offender’s movements and found a clear image of his face. From this, they were able to identify the shooter as Tyrese Mignott.
The Force executed a warrant at Mignott’s home address and recovered bullet casings and ball bearings which were believed to be linked to the shooting.

Mignott, aged 24 of Foden Road, Birmingham was found guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life after a trial earlier this month.
He admitted to possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of class A and class B drugs at an earlier hearing.
Last week, at Birmingham Crown Court, Mignott was sentenced to ten years in prison,
Detective Constable Reece Markham from our Major Crime Unit said: “Tyrese Mignott purposely went to the property to cause harm and it’s a miracle no one was seriously injured.
“Mignott will be behind bars for many years thanks to the good work of officers who spent countless hours reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out other enquiries.
“We have taken another dangerous individual off our streets as we continue to identify criminals involved in serious and organised crime.”
