Man, 26, charged after cocaine found in sock in Rugeley

A man has been charged with drug supply offences after officers found cocaine stuffed inside a sock.

Dhionisis Gjoka, 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug, namely cocaine, after being stopped on Horse Fair, Rugeley, on March 19. 

Dionisis was also charged with possessing criminal property and being concerned about the supply of cocaine.

The arrest comes after officers stopped a man who was sitting in the car on the road, finding the drugs inside the vehicle.

The 26-year-old is due to appear at Newcastle-under-Lyme on March 20.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Dhionisis Gjoka, 26, of no fixed address, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine, possessing criminal property and being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

"It comes after officers stopped a man at Horse Fair yesterday (19 March) while he was sat in the car. We found the drugs inside."
