Man, 36, arrested and vehicles recovered in Wolverhampton chop shop raid

One man has been arrested and a number of vehicles recovered after a chop shop raid in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police were called after 'suspicious activity' was spotted by a member of the public in Wednesfield on Wednesday.

Officers arrived on the scene, quickly locating a Land Rover Discovery at an industrial unit, which was believed to have been stolen earlier the same day. 

A man, 36, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "Officers quickly arrived and located a Land Rover Discovery at an industrial unit, which is believed to have been stolen earlier in the day. 

"A man, aged 36, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He has been brought into police custody to assist with our investigation, while enquiries are continuing at the premises."
