Officers discovered the items during a pre-planned warrant at an address on Hastings Road near Perry Common on Thursday (March 20) morning.

A police cordon was put in place and nearby residents were evacuated from their homes.

The cordon was lifted after the Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team confirmed there was no risk to the wider public, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.
