An air ambulance was called to the scene of a stabbing in Great Barr which left a 15-year-old boy seriously hurt.

The teenager was stabbed in Turnberry Park off Turnberry Road shortly after 4pm on Monday (March 17), prompting a police investigation.
The boy received some treatment by ambulance crews at the scene before being taken to hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called shortly before 4pm on Monday to reports of a stabbing on Turnberry Road in Birmingham.
"One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found a teenage boy with serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care at the scene before being conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
Turnberry Park is currently the subject of a petition to get CCTV installed.
The petition can be signed here and states: "We the undersigned call for urgent action to install and maintain CCTV cameras in Turnberry Park, Great Barr, to ensure residents and users are safe."
West Midlands Police has stepped up patrols in the area and urged witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
