Boy, 15, in serious condition in hospital after stabbing in Great Barr

A teenager has been stabbed and is in hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Great Barr.

Police were called to Turnberry Park, off Turnberry Road, shortly after 4pm today (Monday, March 17).

The 15-year-old boy was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and would urge witnesses or people with information to contact us.

"We will have officers patrolling in the area tonight to offer reassurance to the community."
