They've got the power! - Event set to wow the crowds in Oldbury
There is top class weightlifting action at Oldbury Academy today (Saturday) following on from the success of an earlier event.

After the British Weight Lifting Age Group Championships earlier in March, the academy is hosting the Para Powerlifting Open 2025 which is taking place this morning.
The competition is designed to showcase the strength, skill and determination of para powerlifters and includes athletes who competed and won medals at Paris 2024.
The Oldbury Weightlifting Open will run before and after the main event and will showcase students who are new to lifting and aiming to be the champions of the future.
And the Para Powerlifting Open takes place from 12 noon-2.30pm.
Tickets for all the events today are £2 on the door at Oldbury Academy, Pound Road. Free parking is available.
