A lollipop lady who has dedicated her time to helping keep children safe has celebrated a special anniversary.

Sandwell Council has been celebrating the 40th anniversary of Pauline Norman working as a lollipop lady outside Rounds Green Primary School in Oldbury.
A spokesman for Sandwell Council said: "We’re celebrating a truly remarkable milestone as lollipop lady Pauline Norman has been keeping children safe at Wolverhampton Road near Rounds Green Primary School for an incredible 40 years.
"Pauline has said she has enjoyed meeting the children and seeing them grow up and is now helping the next generation to cross safely.

"We thank Pauline for her outstanding service to the community."
Councillor Keith Allcock, Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Highways, also shared his gratitude.
He said: “Pauline’s care and commitment to the community over 40 years is truly commendable.”
