In a video, which has gained more than 58,000 likes, officers were seen entering the main stage of the event at the NEC, Birmingham, in a police vehicle before stepping out and releasing their hounds.

Their highly-trained furry colleagues immediately ran at two people posing as suspects at the side of the performance space as 'Sound of da Police' by rapper KRS-One blasted over the speakers.

Sharing the clip on TikTok, Rebecca Green (@rebeccagreen749) dubbed it the "best entrance" in the caption - with many other users taking to the comments in agreement.

One user said: "That was an epic entrance," while another added: "So awesome. The cops were literally on their days off volunteering their time."

However, some social media users claimed it was an odd choice of song as it doesn't paint police in the best light. A third user argued: "They do know the song’s not hype for them???."

Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "It’s self deprecating."

"Sound of Da Police" by KRS-One talks about police mistreatment of Black communities in the US. The song criticises police brutality and compares modern policing to slavery, urging people to be aware and resist.
