Man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting two women in Stafford

A man has been jailed for sexually assaulting females in Stafford after changing his pleas.

Darnell McCollins, who has links to the Stafford area, was due to stand trial for two counts of sexual assault of a female at Cannock Magistrates Court after initially pleading not guilty to the offences, but changed his plea to guilty ahead of the hearing on Tuesday(11).

The case relates to incidents relating to separate complaints by women who told Staffordshire Police the defendant had touched them. He carried out the offences at about 4.15pm on June 3 last year. 

A third offence of sexual assault of a female was withdrawn at the hearing.

The magistrates jailed the 24-year-old, of Beck Square, London, for a total of 23 weeks for the crimes.
