He will speak at a lunch organised by the Birmingham Press Club, which will be hosted by Central News legend Bob Warman.

Warman, who retired from the evening news presenting role on ITV in 2022,  said: “Birmingham Press Club has always attracted speakers who are the titans of broadcasting and print. Nick Ferrari is right up there with them.

"He is a former showbiz editor and columnist, and for the last 20 years commanding the airwaves as the UK’s most talked about speech interviewer. Nick’s style is as seductive as it is powerful so it is a lunch event not to be missed.”

Nick, who this year celebrates 21 years as the host of LBC’s weekday breakfast show, is regarded as one of the nation’s most popular, respected and formidable speech broadcasters, being a champion of the radio phone-in where he puts his listeners in the driving seat to question and challenge those in government and leadership.

A journalist with a reputation as a straight-talking, tenacious broadcaster, he has over the past two decades interviewed thousands of national and world leaders from politics, business and entertainment.

Nick, also a regular on ITV’s This Morning programme, joined LBC in 2001 after a successful career in the national press, having been features editor of the News of the World’s Sunday magazine, editor of The Sun’s “Bizarre” page and assistant editor of the Daily Mirror. He launched the new Nick Ferrari at Breakfast show in 2004 and is now the most-listened-to presenter on the station.

The event will be held at Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham on Friday April 25 and tickets are now available. A three-course lunch will be preceded by a drinks reception from noon to 12.30 pm.

Tickets for the event are priced at £70 each. To enquire, email fred.bromwich@icloud.com or visit birminghampress.club.
