At Brick Kiln Lane in Quarry Bank, issues remain unsolved since I last visited in December.

But the problems have persisted for much longer than that for resident Lorna Langford.

Lorna's cellar floods every time it rains, a damp and smelly ordeal which began happening after a sinkhole opened up on the road outside her house.

When I visited last December, Lorna's late-husband's tools were already damaged from the flooding - those otherwise insignificant items that held memories for Lorna were now gone.

The sinkhole, which Lorna claims is the root to the problem, opened up in 2022 in the middle of Brick Kiln Lane in Quarry Bank. It was just a glimpse into a much larger problem - a cavern measuring about 6ft deep by 10ft wide.
