Wolverhampton motorists facing traffic diversion thanks to gas mains replacement project
A number of Wolverhampton streets are facing temporary closures for gas pipe replacement works.

Affected roads include Williamson Street in Merridale which is closed in both directions at the junction with Mander Street. Motorists are being diverted via Merridale Street, Retreat Street and vice versa.
Mander Street is closed in both directions from the junction with Retreat Street to the entrance to the Sikh temple's car park. Access is open to properties.
Mander Street is also closed in both directions up to properties numbers 14-17. Drivers wanting in and out of the area are being diverted along Retreat Street, Merridale Street, Upper Zoar Street and vice versa.
The works are being carried out by gas utility company Cadent until March 21.
