A Black Country market was transported back in time for a 1940s-themed event.

 The free-to-attend event was held at Brierley Hill Market Hall on Saturday (March 8) and attracted dozens of visitors.

Many traders and attendees came dressed for the occasion in 1940s-inspired clothing to be in for their chance at winning a costume competition.

Music from George Formby tribute Kyle Evans and vintage song singer Vicky Elise meanwhile added to the old-time theme.

There was also performances from banjo player Angie Parker and tap dancer Katie Lewis as well as military vehicles on show.
