Wednesbury man charged with multiple drug offences following arrest in Burntwood

A man has been charged with multiple drug offences, including possession of heroin and crack cocaine, after being arrested in Burntwood.

Reece Winter was arrested by officers from Staffordshire Police after officers searched a house in Burntwood on Tuesday (March 4). 

Police recovered heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine, cannabis and £250 in cash.

The 26-year-old, of Wood Green in Wednesbury, was charged with  being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis and cocaine and possessing criminal property.

He was scheduled to appear at Newcastle under Lyme Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "A man has been charged with multiple drug offences after we found cocaine, crack and cannabis following a search in Burntwood.

"Reece Winter, 26, of Wood Green in Wednesbury, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis and cocaine and possessing criminal property.

"It comes after proactive officers searched an address in the area yesterday (Tuesday, March 4) and found the drugs and £250 in cash.

"Winter is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday, March 5).

"As part of Operation Target, we have arrested more than 1,000 people suspected of drug and weapon offences since we launched our crackdown in May 2023.

"Proactive work is happening every day across Staffordshire to continue taking action."
