'Protect us!' - Flowers lay at the scene of fatal Wolverhampton shooting as residents plead council and police to take action

Residents have called for action by police, council and higher government following a shooting incident that led to the death of a man in his 20s.

Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene of a fatal shooting incident in Eastfield Grove, Wolverhampton, that resulted in the death of a man in his 20s. 

A police cordon still remains at the scene of the incident while police continue to investigate, however, residents have now called on official bodies to 'do more' to protect our streets.

The residents of the address, most of whom wanted to remain anonymous or use pseudonyms out of fear of retaliation, said they have been 'forced to live in fear' after repeated violent crime incidents.

One resident, who wanted to go under the assumed name of Ian, said: "I said it yesterday after it happened, It's horrible, but it's getting too common.
