Wolverhampton choir celebrates 51st year with a double bill of top composers
The music of two composers who have landmark birthdays this year will feature in a concert from a popular choir in Wolverhampton this Saturday.

Wolverhampton Chamber Choir will be performing Bob Chilcott's Requiem and Sir John Rutter's Psalmfest at St Michael and All Angel's Church in Tettenhall.
London born Sir John has performed extensively in the UK and USA and was knighted in 2024 for services to music. He turns 80 this year.

Bob Chilcott will be 70 next month and is known for his choral and religious music. He was conductor of the chorus at the Royal College of Music in London for seven years and is prinicpal guest conductor of the BBC Singers.
Their pieces will be accompanied by the Salomon Ensemble and the concert will be one of three to be performed this year by the Wolverhampton Chamber Choir, which itself is celebrating 51 years in existence
Tickets are available from the Wolverhampton Chamber Choir's website, from choir members or on the door for £15 and the performance at the church, in Church Road, starts at 7.30pm.
